Mark Cannon's Multimedia Portfolio
If you do not see the above content, you need to download the newest version of Flashplayer.
I am a 24 year old Multimedia graduate from Monaghan, Ireland. I specialise in animation of many kinds, as you will discover if you take a few minutes to browse my portfolio. The majority of the content on this site was created using Flash 8 and Blender 2.45.

This site is designed so that every section loads into the space above on this page. In the future, I intend to create an alternate html based site for those of you with slow connections (or god forbid, dialup). In the meantime, all of the content that I've completed can be accessed using the applet above. Really, this section is only included because search engine spiders tend to be confused by flash files, and prefer to eat text. Thus, they can feast on this while you browse the content above.
Never forget to feed the spiders.
Update: 10/05/08
Here - have a Necter Cube:

Update: 6/12/07 (later that day...)
* Google caches web pages, duh. So, yeah, I got all that stuff back. For what it's worth.
* A hidden page has been created, containing stuff that is either too old, too irrelevant, too bad or too copyrighted to be included in this page. It is mostly for use as a personal backup, and why I'm mentioning it here I don't really know.
* Above text edited to show my correct age.
Update: 6/12/07
* Flash intro page modified to include a streaming video of a random animation. I say random, but really I chose it as it is my most recent attempt at animation. I say animation....
* Grass animation removed from menu page to reduce file size and speed up loading times.
* Some of the pages/sections have been slightly modified/renamed to make it easier for the site manager (me), and to ensure that no content is misplaced/lost.
* All html content accidentally deleted from index page because I didn't think that last bit through. None of the flash content was effected, but all of the update logs, links and counters have disappeared. If I find a backup I'll fix this, otherwise I'll.... just... not. Meh.
Update: 03/10/07:
* I have added some images to the image section and some animations to the animation section. I am currently in the process of writing an update log to this effect, which is what you're currently reading. Minor aesthetic changes have also been made to these sections.
Mini Update (it's the thought that counts): 01/10/07:
* Page added with images and animation of spider character. Several other images and animations have been completed and I am in the process of integrating them into the above flash applet. Also, a "short animated film" (sic) is in pre-production, which may indeed feature both the spider and the woman, but how far such a project will get is anyone's guess.
Update: 20/08/07, (images changed 15/09/07) (images removed 03/10/07 - integrated into flash applet)
* Currently working on a 3d character, the images in the relevant sections are very much a work in progress.
Update: 08/08/07
* New Image section added, first page changed, links added below for some reason
Update: 07/08/07
* About, animations and projects sections have been changed, and the navigation system optomized. Also, the page sizes have been reduced and preloaders have been added to the larger flash files. A counter has also been added. I'm not sure if this makes the site look better or worse...
Site work: since 01/07/07
* Navigation system created (modified scene from project anomie
* Animation, projects, images and about sections created
* Interactivity and navigation tested
* 'Last Night', 'Virtual Guitar Tutor' added
* Link to Project Anomie added

Future intended updates:
* Audio/music section
* More images
* More animations
* Change buttons in animations, images, about sections
